While his boy LeBron is hard at work trying to make sure that the Toronto Raptors don’t steal the Eastern Conference Finals, Dwayne Wade is “roughing it” on a European vacation with teammate (possibly former soon) Chris Bosh.

Dwayne and Gabrielle along with Bosh and Adrienne took holiday (that’s European for vacation…lol) in the south of France visiting Monaco as well as Saint Tropez. They were the coveted guests of Formula 1 driver, Lewis Hamilton on a phenomenal yacht. My it pays to be wealthy and in the know. Let’s hope Bosh has a team to come back to.

Thanks to twitter and snapchat, we’ve got a front row seat. Follow along yall, while we enjoy burnt hamburgers and crispy hot dogs in the backyard swatting mosquitoes as the kids kick over our Coronas…

The Toronto Raptors made it to the Eastern Conference Finals before losing to the Cleveland Cavaliers in six games.  Now they are looking on to their future and general manager Masai Ujiri said his top priority this offseason will be to re-sign DeMar DeRozan.

via ESPN:

DeRozan, a two-time All-Star who averaged 23.5 points per game during the regular season, is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1. DeRozan said on Saturday, a day after the Raptors were eliminated by the Cleveland Cavaliers, that he hoped to re-sign with the Raptors, the only team he has played for in his NBA career.

“Our No. 1 goal is to bring DeMar back here,” Ujiri said Monday at his season-ending news conference. “We feel great that he wants to come back to our organization. I spoke to him [Sunday], and his eyes were still red. You could tell. He said he felt empty the next day, which was telling.

“Speaking to him and Kyle [Lowry], they almost felt like we had a game to play still, and that game is not there. There’s that hunger, and you like that, and then now, it’s my part to figure it out.”

It turns out, Meek Mill is NOT banned from the Toronto Raptors locker room.  As everyone knows, Drake is the Global Ambassador for the Raptors and a big supporter of the team.  Drake also famously had a huge beef with Meek, which has since settled down a bit since Meek, The Game, and Beanie Sigel are currently going at it.  In any event, Raptor Patrick Patterson was asked if there’s a Meek ban and he says no.

TMZ Sports caught up with Patterson and he says Meek isn’t banned because you have to remember there are guys on the team from Meek’s hometown of Philadelphia including Raptors star guard Kyle Lowry.

Patterson also had advice for Ben Simmons on his injury, don’t rush to get back on the court.

As the Global Ambassador for the Toronto Raptors, they often host a Drake Night for the Toronto native.  The rapper comes through, and they give out pretty cool Drake/Raptors apparel for the fans.  This was the first Drake Night of the season and it was during their game against the Golden State Warriors.

They gave Drake/Raptors shirts featuring the “6 God” praying hands to every fan that attended the game.  Drake himself was wearing a pretty cool shirt that featured color analyst/sideline reporter Doris Burke as his WCE (Woman Crush Everyday).

The game itself didn’t go too well for the Raptors as the Warriors won 127-121.

The NBA trade deadline is Feb. 23 and we’re starting to see some action.  The Orlando Magic kicked things off by trading Serge Ibaka to the Toronto Raptors.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical, Orlando will receive small forward Terrence Ross and a 2017 first-round pick in return for Ibaka.  The Raptors will send the lower of their two first-round picks to Orlando as part of the trade. They have ownership of their own first-round selection, as well as the Los Angeles Clippers.

Wojnarowski added Toronto is trading for Ibaka with the “intention of trying to re-sign him” in free agency, adding general manager Masai Ujiri has “long coveted him.”

Ibaka spent the first seven seasons of his NBA career with the Oklahoma City Thunder but was traded to Orlando for Victor Oladipo, lottery pick Domantas Sabonis and Ersan Ilyasova, this past offseason.

Ibaka is currently averaging 15.1 PPG and 6.8 RPG.
